Welcome to Pedagog.ai’s AI Trainer Certification Course! The purpose of this course is to train teachers and administrators who want to be prepared to help others at their school navigate the impact of AI on education.
By the end of this course, you will be prepared to show teachers the various ways that they can use AI in their workflow and teaching, lead conversations about the ethical and security concerns posed by AI, and have important conversations with various stakeholders.

Overview
Module 1: Our Crash Course on AI & Education: 5 videos that will introduce you to the basics of AI & Education, using AI to streamline workflow, develop engaging curriculum materials, integrating AI into teaching, and combating AI plagiarism.
Module 2: Ethics, Privacy, and Security: This module will prepare you to lead critical conversations with teachers and administrators about the ethical, privacy, and security concerns that AI poses for education. These considerations are essential when deciding which AI platforms to use and how to engage with them in a way that is safe for teachers and students.
Module 3: Talking to Stakeholders: This module will prepare you to talk about AI with all the relevant stakeholders including students, teachers, parents, and administrators.

Slide Decks: As part of this course, you will have access to pre-made slide decks that you can use when leading trainings on AI at your school.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Lead discussions with educators, administrators, and other school staff about AI and education -
Explain how AI tools can be used to complete tasks such as lesson planning, communication, and paperwork -
Articulate and address the various ethical concerns related to the use of AI in educational settings. -
Address the concerns of various stakeholders, including teachers, students, and parents.
Logistics
Asynchronous: The course can be completed at your own pace with a recommended pace of. All course content and assignments can be completed at any time.
Discussion Forum: All students will have access to an exclusive discussion forum where they can discuss course materials, share lesson plans, and engage with other teachers taking the course.
Assignments
Participants will have 3 capstone assignments to chose from to complete the course:
- Create a slide deck for a 1 hour PD session for your school. Include a cover letter explaining why you chose the topics you did for your session.
- Imagine you are helping your admin team to prepare to integrate AI. Draft 3 emails to key stakeholders (teachers, parents, and students) explaining and justifying the decision.
- Imagine you are working for a school or district that is enthusiastic about integrating AI, but who seems to be missing some of the larger questions. Draft a presentation to the board about an appropriate policy that balances the positives and negatives, focussing on privacy, security and ethics.

Priten H Shah, M. He is also the author of the Wiley’s Jossey-Bass publication, “AI & The Future of Education: Teaching in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.“

He and his team are currently focused on helping educational organizations adapt to the ever growing capabilities of AI, focusing on OpenAI integrations.
Priten is also the founder of United 4 Social Change, a civics education nonprofit that focuses on helping teachers integrate interdisciplinary education into their curricula through animated videos, lesson plans, and innovative classroom activities.
Nina Bamberg
Director of Curriculum & Instruction, Pedagogy.Cloud
Nina has an MA in International Educational Development from Teachers College at Columbia University and has worked for many years in education and nonprofit program management.
Nina has worked with students of all ages teaching English, history, human rights, and current events. She also works in adult education as a citizenship educator and as an associate for a graduate-level course on conflict management.
For the past 3 years, Nina has served as the Director of Programs at United 4 Social Change where she worked on curriculum development, teacher professional development, and student workshops. She joins Pedagogy.Cloud in 2023 to help expand their work with educational AI tools and teacher engagement.
