This course is designed to be an introduction to teaching and learning with AI. By the end of the course, participants will be prepared to use AI tools in their classroom and admin tasks. They will also be able to critically reflect on the implications of AI in education.

- English Essays in a World With AI: Teaching students how to write clear and effective essays in a world where AI-generated text is becoming more prevalent.
- Civics Education in a World With AI: Exploring the skills that members of a democratic society will need in a world with AI, and how civics education can help prepare students for that world.
- How to Ask Questions: Teaching students how to ask effective questions to get the answers they’re looking for.
- How to Flip Your Classroom with AI: Using AI tools and platforms to create interactive and engaging online learning materials for students.
- AI in Collaborative Learning: Using AI-based tools to enhance group work and collaborative learning in the classroom.
- AI and Academic Integrity: Understanding the potential impact of AI on academic integrity, including issues related to plagiarism and cheating and crafting honor policies.
- Using AI to Reduce Your Workload: Learning how to use AI tools and technologies to automate routine tasks, such as grading and providing feedback, in order to save time and effort.
- AI in Personalized Learning: Understanding how AI can be used to personalize the learning experience for each student and adapt materials to meet different learning styles and needs.
- AI in Curriculum Design: Understanding how AI can be used to design and develop effective curriculum by using generative tools to create standards-based lesson plans, worksheets, activities, projects, and more.
- Innovating Assignments to be AI-proof: Developing assignments and assessments that are designed to be resistant to cheating and plagiarism with AI-generated text. This could include strategies for designing open-ended assignments that are difficult to automate, as well as techniques for assessing critical thinking and creativity that cannot be replicated by AI. Additionally, this could include training teachers to create assignments that are AI-proof by teaching them to understand the limitations of AI, and how to create assessments that evaluate higher-order thinking skills such as creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration which are not easily replicated by AI.
